Brand & Web Development

Below are examples of client websites I have developed copy for. Some of these clients were brand-new, with no official brand identity or voice, while others needed to refresh their current identity and voice to fit with today’s consumer.

Seriously Good Coffee

Objective

Build brand awareness for a philanthropic coffee company that partners with and supports a small orphanage in Costa Rica.

My Role

Development of brand story and messaging throughout site. Development of package branding. Creating and strategizing copy for Facebook ads, as well as Facebook and Instagram posts.

Result

Within two months of launching the website and Amazon storefront at the beginning of 2020, Seriously Good Coffee shipped over 1,000 bags of coffee to 44 states across the U.S. They have also partnered with various churches and faith-based groups across the country who want to support SGC’s mission of providing for the Hogar Metodista Children’s Home.

Objective

Create content for and collaborate on an ongoing multi-touch blog, social and email marketing campaign for Texas Health’s consumer wellness blog.

My Role

Develop ~150 blog posts a year aimed at blending consumer interest articles with marketing objectives to support individual service lines. Additionally, I advise, mentor and lead a team of 4 freelance copywriters, and oversee onsite editorial voice, accuracy, and review processes.

Result

The blog averages more than 430,000 unique pageviews a year, resulting in a 168% lift in unique visitors and 110% increase in pageviews since acquiring the project in early 2016.

GoodJanes Beauty Brand

Objective

Develop a brand persona and voice to help support the marketing for their new website and social media accounts.

My Role

Develop a brand persona around the CEO’s love for all things natural, healthy and good for the body and soul — hence the nickname “Good Jane.” I also developed engaging, on-brand and seo-optimized product descriptions for 30 of their initial product offerings.

Result

GoodJanes has expanded their original product lines of  lashes, mascaras and tools to also include a skin care line and an upcoming essential oils line. They have curated more than 18k followers on Instagram and have been featured in in Oprah Daily, Vogue and Popsugar.

UMC Energy Solutions

UMC sells and delivers a very technical product and service line to a highly-knowledgeable niche market, so we knew we needed to hit the nail on the head regarding content. We needed to walk the walk and talk the talk in order to convey UMC’s professionalism and expertise in the field of Oil & Gas, so we got down to business learning everything we could about the industry and the tools they use to help create honest, knowledgeable and transparent marketing campaigns, product descriptions and brochures, user guides and service program brochures. Overall, we were able to create well-informed content for our client and their consumers to grow their business.

Unifeye Vision Partners

Objective

Creating a professional, well-thought-out landing page that differentiated them from the competition and empowered physicians to fill out the form field for more information.

My Role

Interview company stakeholders to understand the ins and outs of the business to be able to see how an independent eye care provider could stand to profit from partnering with UVP.

Result

UVP has grown from 1 initial eye care partner to 5, and their leadership team has grown from 3 original members to 9.

Genetic Direction

Objective

Increase brand awareness for both the everyday consumer and prospective physician partners who can promote Genetic Direction’s products in their private practices as a way to unlock your genetic potential.

My Role

Develop content for their website marketing each product line, as well as creating content for whitepapers.

Spine Team Texas

Objective

Increase traffic to site and potentially increasing the number of patients for Spine Team Texas.

My Role

Collaborating with our web developer and senior account executive to perform a content audit of their site, then optimizing that content so that it was easier to find by the consumer.  While Spine Team didn’t need a lot of new content creation, I loved the challenge of optimizing their content to work smarter for their website.
